Digital Intercept

Overview

Digital Intercepts enable seamless feedback collection by embedding context-aware pop-up surveys directly within a web application or digital property. This non-intrusive distribution channel empowers brands to proactively engage users based on defined behavioral triggers and attributes, without requiring contact information or traditional outreach methods.

Purpose

Digital Intercepts are designed to:

  • Enhance feedback collection at high-intent user moments.
  • Improve targeting through behavioral and attribute-based rules.
  • Operate without email, SMS, or WhatsApp dependencies.
  • Allow easy deployment via a downloadable JavaScript plugin.

In the campaign of choice

Distribution Tab

  • Go to the Distribution section.
  • Toggle Open Link to enable the link-based distribution.

Enable Intercept

  • Navigate to the Intercept section.
  • Toggle SET AS INTERCEPT to ON.

Embedded Feedback Triggers

Once configured, intercepts display an on-screen button or pop-over survey form, inviting users to participate without navigating away from the page. The interface is fully customizable to match brand identity.

  • Button Text: Customize the call-to-action.
  • Target URL: Specify the destination survey link.
  • Button Color: Match your branding

-Org Logo & Titles: Tailor pop-up visuals with logos, titles, and subtitles in Pop-over Configuration

  • Show Org Logo – Toggle to show or hide your organizationʼs logo.
  • Heading Title – Set the title for the pop-up message.
  • Subtitle – Optional field for a supporting tagline or message.

Robust Targeting Rules

Digital Intercepts allow precise control over when and to whom the pop-up appears. Targeting criteria include: -User Attributes: URL patterns, device types, OS, browsers, date range, visitor type.

  • Include / Exclude – Specify whether to target or exclude based on conditions.
  • Condition Type – Select from Equals To, Contains, etc.
  • URL Input – Define specific URL patterns.
  • Device Type & Condition – Target by device: Mobile, Tablet, or Desktop.
  • Operating System – Android, iOS, Windows, etc.
  • Browser Type – Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.
  • Date Range – Filter based on activity date.
  • Trigger Delay – Set delay (in seconds) before the intercept appears.
  • Visitor Type – Target New, Returning, or Every Time users.
  • Expire Cookies – Reset visitor type after X days.

Use # for element IDs and . for classes when configuring selectors (e.g., #formId, .cta-button).

-Engagement Metrics: Mouse movements, hover/click events, scroll depth, form abandonment, and more.

  • Mouse Movement – Exit Area (Top) – Triggers when the user moves toward closing the tab.
  • Hover Event – Targets users who hover over specific elements.
  • Click Event – Triggers on clicks for specified page elements.
  • Form Interaction – Detects when a form is started or abandoned.
  • Scroll Depth – Trigger based on how far down the page a user scrolls.
  • Time Spent on Page – Fires after the user stays on a page for a specified duration.
  • Time Since Last Activity – Fires after a period of inactivity.
  • Site Search Term – Target users searching for specific keywords.
  • Trigger Timing: Time spent on page, inactivity duration, or custom delays.

No-Code Deployment

Once configured in the Zykrr DIY dashboard:

  • A JavaScript Plugin can be downloaded with all settings embedded.
  • This plugin can be easily integrated into any website or web application.
