Message Templates

The Templates section in Zykrr allows you to create, manage, and reuse message formats for communicating with your survey participants. Templates are used in Email, SMS, WhatsApp, and other supported channels.


1. Add a New Template

Click + ADD TEMPLATE to create a new message format.

Template Configuration:

  • Distribution Channel: Choose where the message will be sent (Email, SMS, WhatsApp, etc.)
  • Service Provider: Select your messaging service (e.g., Twilio, Kaleyra, Textlocal)

Template Details:

Field Description
Template Name Descriptive label for the template
To / To Email Recipient’s number or email address
Reply-To (Email) Address for email replies
Subject (Email) Subject line of the email
From Name (Email) Sender’s display name
From Email Sender’s email address
Template ID Platform-specific template ID (for DLT, etc.)

2. Message Content

Depending on the channel, message content is defined in plain text or HTML.

For Email:

  • Use the HTML Email editor to format content.
  • Click PREVIEW EMAIL to see how the message will appear.

3. Template Actions

Once created, each template supports the following actions:

Action Description
Send Short URL Generates a short survey URL to be embedded in your message
Send Test Sends a test version to preview actual delivery
Edit Message Opens the template in edit mode for updating content

Click SAVE to store the template, or CANCEL to discard.


Best Practices

  • Use dynamic placeholders (e.g., {Name}, {SurveyLink}) to personalize messages.
  • Match the template language and tone to the participant’s profile.
  • Ensure your template is pre-approved with the provider for SMS/WhatsApp (as per DLT guidelines).
  • Use consistent naming conventions for easier management.
