Partial Submission

Participants sometimes abandon a survey midway—after answering a few questions but before clicking “Submit.” Without partial capture, these responses are lost. Zykrr solves this with its Partial Submission feature, allowing you to store in-progress responses automatically—either page by page or question by question.

Where to Enable

To enable partial submission:

  • Navigate to:
    DIY → Campaign → Settings → Misc
  • Toggle “Partial Submission”
  • Choose your preferred capture mode:
    • Page-wise – save responses after each survey page is completed
    • Question-wise – save each response immediately as soon as it is answered

Capture Modes

📘 Page-wise Partial Submission

  • Saves all responses from a completed page once the user clicks Next
  • Ideal for multi-page surveys where each page groups related questions
  • Recommended when you’re optimizing for structured page logic or skip flows

✏️ Question-wise Partial Submission

  • Captures responses immediately as each question is answered
  • Ensures maximum data retention—even if the user drops out mid-page
  • Useful for critical, high-abandonment surveys where response loss is costly

Strategic Use Case

Design your survey to take advantage of partial capture:

  • Page 1: Ask high-priority questions like NPS and CSAT
  • Page 2–3: Place optional, deeper drill-down questions or demographics
  • Choose question-wise if even partial answers on a single page matter

Even if users don’t complete the survey, their early responses can still inform product, service, or channel improvements.

Benefits

  • Recover insights from partial responders
  • Improve response rate accuracy
  • Reduce data loss in long surveys
  • Identify abandonment points across questions or pages
  • Feed early answers into analytics, dashboards, or escalation flows

Best Practices

  • Enable question-level capture for mission-critical or low-engagement surveys
  • Use page-level capture for structured surveys with logical grouping
  • Always place key questions first, especially if using page-level save
  • Inform users (in footer or message) that their input is being saved securely
