Fixed-text

The Fixed-text question type is a non-interactive content block used to display information to participants within the survey. It is not meant for capturing responses but for providing important context or instructions.

Use Cases

Fixed-text blocks can be used to:

  • Introduce the survey or section
  • Share your brand story or purpose
  • Explain how to answer a complex question
  • Display your privacy policy, terms, or disclaimer
  • Show important announcements or thank-you notes

Configurations in Zykrr

  1. Rich Text Editor
The Fixed-text type supports a rich text editor, allowing you to:

    • Apply styling and formatting (bold, italic, underline, color, font size)
    • Add bullet points, numbered lists, and headers
    • Insert hyperlinks to direct users to external documents or internal policies
    • Highlight important content using background color or spacing
  2. Translation Note
Rich text content is currently not supported in multi-language translations. If you’re running multilingual surveys, keep Fixed-text blocks minimal and plain to maintain consistency.

  3. Placement Control
    Fixed-text blocks can be placed:

    • Before any question
    • After any question

Best Practices

  • Use short paragraphs and clear language
  • Avoid overcrowding with long legal or technical content—link out when needed
  • Maintain visual alignment with the rest of the survey theme via the Design tab
  • Use this block to emotionally connect or clarify without affecting response logic
