Survey Link Validity

Zykrr allows you to control how long a survey link remains active, depending on whether you’re using open or unique distribution mode.

πŸ”“ Open Distribution Mode

In open link mode, all participants access the survey using a shared public link.

  • The link remains active as long as the campaign is active.
  • You can enable or disable the link anytime via:
    DIY β†’ Campaign β†’ Distribution β†’ Configure

Disabling the link will immediately make it inaccessible to participants.

πŸ” Unique Distribution Mode

In unique link mode, each participant receives a personalized, tokenized survey link.

  • You can define how long the link should remain valid from the time it is generated.
  • Configure it via:
DIY β†’ Campaign β†’ Settings β†’ Misc β†’ Token Expiry Duration

Example:

If token expiry is set to 24 hours:

  • Link A is generated at 2:00 PM β†’ Expires at 2:00 PM the next day
  • Link B is generated at 4:00 PM β†’ Expires at 4:00 PM the next day

The countdown begins from the exact time of link generation, not from campaign creation.

Use Cases

  • For high-sensitivity or time-bound surveys, set a short expiry (e.g., 2–6 hours).
  • For long-term feedback or customer NPS, set longer expiry (e.g., 48–72 hours).

Best Practices

  • Always inform participants of the validity window in the message content.
  • Avoid setting very short expiry durations if delays in delivery are expected (e.g., via WhatsApp or SMS queues).
  • Monitor response drop-offs that may result from expired tokens using Analytics > Status Report.
